Active since 1992, the band have gained a steady following with their breed of maverick rock and roll, that’s mixed up with a passion for 70’s soul. Their live show will be an exciting chance for fans to be part of a creative multi-instrumental experience, that has seen the band flourish since 2006, when three of their founding members departed and left the hardcore of singer/ guitarist Stuart Staples, lead guitarist Neil Fraser and keyboardist David Boulter.

Songs creep open with eerie strings and cascading piano, reminiscent of a Hitchcock movie shadow. His music continues along a similar spectral sweep, opening up to the vivid narratives, gripping poetry and melodic depth of Conor J. O’Brien – or as he likes to call himself and his cohorts, Villagers. With a Mercury Prize nomination under his belt, universal acclaim has now found this individualistic artist.
