Instead of chasing the latest trend which will be over in a week, The Lines are a band who proclaim loudly that “we don’t need to fit with any scene”, instead deciding to write songs that have “a big guitar sound... songs screaming out to be shouted from stadiums” (The Fly).

After completing a year which saw The Lines embark on their first North American tour (which included appearances at the legendary SXSW and Canadian Music Week festivals), being invited to tour with Peter Doherty and Ocean Colour Scene, and a second sold out show at the 1,100 capacity Wulfrun Hall in Wolverhampton, The Lines have been busy writing and recording new material, and have just announced that they will be releasing a single taken from their new material in May, as well as a co-headline tour with The Rainband in support of the release.  The tour takes in dates at legendary venues such as London’s 100 Club, Manchester Academy and Birmingham o2 Academy, and tickets go on sale Friday morning at 9am.
